Bearskin

A short I wrote a long time ago for a gay fairy tale anthology. This is a retelling of a somewhat obscure fairy tale called Bearskin. Arron, a fighter from a war his village would rather forget, is dying in a cave when he is approached by a strange man who claims to be the Devil and offers him a bizarre bet. WIth nothing to lose, Arron takes the bet. What he doesn't anticipate is, along the way, meeting a sweet village boy named Joran. Will Arron manage to win his bet and save his soul? Will true love prevail? It's a fairy tale. Meaning, of course it has a happy ending.
